Does anyone know how to remove CCJS on your credit file if the debts were included in BR? I assume that you can just ask the courts to remove them??

Many thanks

Hi,

I am hoping that one of our professionals will see this and advise.

As far as I am aware, they will not be removed, but marked as Satisfied or Partially Satisfied. I believe they will only be removed if the CCJ date was after the bankruptcy date, and I would have thought the OR should have stopped any court proceedings from taking place.

They will of course automatically drop off with the bankruptcy after 6 years.

Presumably after discharge from bankruptcy one could apply for them to be removed on the basis that the bankruptcy clears the debt.
