Hi,
Just out of interest how long is it taking for people finishing there IVA to get there Certificate of completion.
I finished my IVA in March and a week later i had got my Certificate, in my final review i did mention that i had herd getting this can take quiet a long time due to changes in tax egs and he did not know anything about it and just said you should have yours within 2 weeks and he was right.
I'm reading more and more that it's becoming quiet a problem for some people having to Waite a long time to receive there Certificate.
Think i must be one of the lucky ones

Which company were you with?
Interesting to know that some close timely and others are appearing to take forever, hope when it's my turn it's timely. Well done on completing and being debt free. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I was with Freeman Jones (Gregory Pennington)
First couple of years i hated them and just felt like they were only after how much money they could get out of me, but my opinion changed when i lost my job and could not make the payments. My Ip went out of his way to make sure the IVA did not fail.
Overhaul they were very supportive and i had no trouble with them what so ever, if anybody harassed me for money all i had to do is pass it on to them and they sorted it out informing me what was happening all the time.

Sounds like a good experience of the IVA with them.
Do you find life outside of the IVA easy to manage, I ask as I'm due to finish in 5.5 months and sometimes I look forward to it and other times I dread it, I almost want to keep the security of someone watching my spending if that makes sense. x

The only problem i'm finding just now is were is all my money going,
Having that extra money to myself that i was paying in to the IVA just seems to go quick and i'm not really buying extra things but i did spend 5 years with no extra money what so ever so it is a nice feeling to go each month not having to watch what i spend.
From finishing my IVA i have been putting things straight, i owed some money to my family who helped me out quiet a bit and now i'm hoping to go on a short break in September has i can not remember the last holiday i had. After that i'm going to just save as much money as i can so at least i will have money saved up for emergencies egs
The thought has not even entered my head to get anymore credit, from now on i only buy what i can afford and that's it.

Thanks Rich,
And good luck to you Rich, hope your enjoying your freedom now you have completed your IVA
And Lesley, think you will find once your IVA is finished everything will work out fine, in a strange way i do miss talking to my Ip manager but i did have the same person for 5 years so as you can imagine we did have a lot of conversations.
Good luck everybody
