This is getting into the realms of the paranoid. All of us have different circumstances and setups and I am not going to divulge whys and wherefores of my or my husband's situations. Suffice it to say that Creditfix told husband that the savings account equates to savings; that should be sufficient for everyone's purposes. I can promise that there is no skullduggery here; let's keep it real.

This is getting so ridiculous, how r we supposed to say pay for car repairs if we have not put money by for this, like the majority I have a savings account that I put in for these issues, I also have been doing overtime recently and religiously paid each month the uplift from the 10/50/50 ruling, so what I do with the money left over is my business, if I want to eat beans on toast all week and save on my shopping for a week, surely that's also my business, this whole situation stinks, CF just have not got a clue, this whole situation is making me ill, I can't sleep at night,, my anxiety and stress levels have gone through the roof, I've got my first review supposedly this month, and it's worring the life out of me, there must be something we can do,

It certainly is a worry, however, i wouldn't be surprised if all this concern has come about due to some customer service rep who knows b***** all, Afterall there has been so many conflicting messages depending on who we call up and speak too!
I guess we will only really know once the first few reviews are done, and hopefully people will come back and report how it all went.

I'm baffled, can anyone confirm if bank accounts appear in a credit file? I think the savings account may be linked to a NI number and that's their gateway in. I still don't see how they would know you have an account elsewhere.
Yes they do appear in your credit report. But the balance does not unless it's overdrawn.

You're a superstar. I didn't know, just signed up for a free credit report @ noodle - Shows the other bank account, balance shows as £0 however, and account type is: current account. Scary!
I think CF are only concerned with savings accounts however.
Would I know if CF have had a look at my credit report? They may do so at review time [:(]
Even more worried!

Feel like theyre treating us like criminals. Tracking everything we do, say, type, spent, save. Mel always treated us with respect and professionalism. You could ring and speak to her, adult to adult. There was mutural respect and trust. CF seem intent on making life as difficult as they can.

Ok, here's how I see it.
A savings account is NOT income. It's that simple. The only - ONLY - time anything relating to a savings account could be classed as 'income' would be any interest earned on the savings. Given that we're allowed to keep 10% and then 50% of anything in excess of that, I doubt the interest any of us will be earning is going to exceed the 10%.
I didn't even HAVE a savings account when I started my IVA. If I'd had any, it would've been used to pay down debt at the time. Any savings that exist now are as a result of the uplift I am allowed to keep under the terms of my IVA.
I won't be mentioning my savings account to Creditfux. There's no reason to as it's not a source of income. It's used purely to keep any uplift I earn separate.
I think we're being given bad information by shiny-suited college-leavers with big-knotted ties; the monkeys to the organ-grinder if you will. However, what we're dealing with is an organ-grinder who couldn't give a **** about her customers as long as the monkeys extract the maximum amount of cash by any means necessary.
As long as I'm doing everything to the exact letter of my IVA agreement, Creditfix can get ****ed. I've not signed the variation letter and won't be agreeing to it. I wait with interest to see whether they assume I've agreed and press on with trying to carry out the variation as it wouldn't surprise me that they fail to bother checking whether they actually have a response from me (importantly my letter does not allow for 'implied consent' through inaction either - I've just checked) so if they do that I'll be going straight to the insolvency service.
I'm actually at the point now where I'd prefer to let the IVA fail and go bankrupt instead. I'd even consider re-starting my IVA with another IP despite being over halfway now - anyone other than CreditFix.

Pre-paid credit cards do not appear on your credit file. I have several, no sign of them on credit file.
But - let's not get paranoid here. Nobody has confirmed Creditfix will check our credit files or go spying on us etc...
Let us not take rumour or supposition as gospel.
What's killing us here is that Creditfix won't participate and set the record straight. Oh how I wish they would.
Incidentally, my T&Cs letter was followed up with a phone call some weeks later when I confirmed I'd prefer to stay on my old T&Cs.

Thisusername, I laughed at this. But sadly, the imagining is funny and the fact that I agree is not so funny.

If you are moving money to a 2nd account this will show on your bank statements - not sure then if they can ask to see those 2nd account statements?
I'm with Hubert, and have ordered a couple of pre paid credit cards.....

Again, any money left over from your agreed Expenditure list should be yours to deal with as you see fit, and should not be scrutinised by your IP.

What prepaid credit cards can you get. I have a paypal card that I got years ago, but don't really want to be putting our spare cash into paypal.

I did a search for prepaid credit cards and it came up with the top 10 on a money supermarket site...I looked for one's with no monthly charge...at least having to have a pin number means it's a bit safer than 'under the mattress'!
