I have been in my iva for three years now with debt free direct and i am counting down the next 24 months. I have split up with my girlfriend a few months back and advised my iva of this and that i was on my own now paying my grandparents rent for their top floor of their house debt free said thankyou and they had passed it to my supervisor of which ive heard nothing since so i presume everythings ok.

Also i have just been promoted at work giving me an extra £130 p/m will my iva take this as im paying everything on my own and my iva was set up for mine and my girlfriends wages? Also my current account was a joint account with alliance and leicester my ex has opened another account will a&l let me keep my account on my own? Sorry to rattle on im just a bit concerned that my iva has been going really well and that my breakup my throw a spanner in the works.

Hi titus and welcome

Debt Free Direct are not the best at communication im afraid.
If you have a look on the insolvency website under the heading "find an IP", you will be able to find a direct email address for your IP.

Email him/her direct with your concerns.

You may just have to fill in a new income and expendature form if your circumstances have changed.

Good luck

Hi titus

I have an A&L account and they have been fine with me throughout my IVA.

Sorry to hear about your break up and hope you get things sorted soon
