Well done, it just goes to show we can all learn from our mistakes, I bet you wouldn't have even thought of a charity shop for your xmas party clothes before IVA I know I wouldn't have before IVA. Enjoy the party

Each Christmas we do secret Santa for the adults at the Christmas dinner table, last year you could only spend a £1.00. This year we've upped this to £5.00 and it must be purchased from a charity shop...that way we get a gift and the charity benefits.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I like to have a look through the rails in charity shops but hardly ever come across anything that fits! Must be a common size.

I saw a Windsmoor winter coat in a charity shop for £30 the other week and when I looked at their website, their cheapest coat is around £150. I did think about getting it as it was in my size but I am desperate to lose weight so I didn't want to buy something in a big size!! What a bargain though - maybe I should have bought it and sold it on ebay...

I also thin it can be the area that you live in as to what you find...this week I was in a nice area of Manchester and found some lovely items compared to what I find in my home town...I was very impressed.

when I was in my iva, I went in a charity shop, as my g/f was taking some things into it. Then we were going to go shopping for a new coat. When I saw a coat in the shop. which was new and I like it. the price £10.
sill ware it two years later, BARGAIN, sill look in there when in town.
IVA now over with and it was worth it.
now starting my life again,

There certainly are bargains to be had if you don't mind looking.
