Oh Dave they still argue over the trucks, dont like one cos it has a rattle and the other doesnt go as fast. One chap got stopped by the police and when the policeman went to climb up into the cab this chap asked him to wait so he could put paper down so they didnt dirty the carpet. As for the technology even changing gear has reduced to pressing a button long gone the double declutching.( now I sound old)

Did you see the programme on TV a while ago when the police stopped a lorry driver and he refused to get out of the cab? When he finally did he was wearing ladies underwear and stockings and suspenders!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi Skippy

I saw that. So so funny. Poor bloke. Engages in a bit of cross-dressing and gets reported to the police by a member of the public. Just his luck that a car with a film crew are called out. Lol.

Mind you he was drunk as a skunk. I'm going back 20 years now but the drivers used to say what a great night out they had in such and such truckstop and how they couldn't keep up with the pints another driver was knocking back. Sometimes they would be on the road again at 5.30am with 38 tonnes behind them. I don't think it happens nowadays though. Times and attitudes change.

Regards

Dave

I bet he had some stick from his mates! It's scary to think of them drinking and driving, and I really hate it when you see lorry or bus drivers chatting away on their mobile phones.
