Prior to my IVA i paid huge amounts to DCM Apex who went bust along with my money. 5 and a half years ago I went with Cleardebt and an IVA. In addition, Cleardebt used a Company called DRSP for PPI claims which was an absolute nightmer as they lost all my documents. 3 months prior to the end of the IVA it was passed on to Aperture by Cleardebt without any reference to me. I finished with the IVA payments in May 2016, but still have no Certificate of Completion. Today I received a letter from Aperture including a document for me to sign, and this makes mention of a case James Green v James Patrick Wright. The letter suggests that they will not issue the certificate to me unless I sign the agreement stating that any future PPI claims will be paid to creditors by Aperture, and any residue will be given to charity.
If I could afford a solicitor I would take the agreement to have it checked out but I am in dire straits so cannot do this. I just don't know where to turn.
Nothing to worry about - just sign the paper and it just means that any PPI will be paid across to your IP. Once that has been done then your completion will be sorted.

hi just a question why aren't the iva company giving the client the options of having any residue left from the ppi payment refuned to them with the option if they wanted to give it to charity .not take it as read the iva company will do it as seems an easy option . and with ppi it could be a reasonable amount of money left after fees interest etc . its a thought
It doesn't really matter as your PPI will go towards paying off your debts in full. If there is anything left after that then it will be returned to you.
Just sign it.
