I have got my breakdown from the OR of I&E that they are allowing. They have added both child benefit and tax credits to my wages to work out my IPA. Is this right?(as the OR's own guidelines on the internet state that child benefit should not be included so that the child does not be deprived)
Any advise appreciated.

Presumably they are allowing you expenses relating to the children within your expenditure, so the one should cancel the other out.

I thought that may be the case however the breakdown of "other essential payments" is very vague. Thanks for your help

Child benefit, tax credits, DLA, benefits or pensions can all be condidered as income. However as already stated your expenses should offset the income.

As long as they have included budgets relating for the children's expenditure then this is quite normal.
