Eldest has very narrow fitting feet now. Brantano and Clarks don't stock or sell shoes in her size. I can't even order them in as they don't make them that narrow. Had to go to a really expensive shop last time. Grrr! I pray for her to be able to fit into Clarks stuff as we have an outlet near us.
Nappies...I used reusables a fair bit and loved them, shame eBay won't let me sell them on now. Bah! Aldi nappies are atually surprisingly good but don't work out any cheaper. I buy Huggies in bulk economy packs and shop around for offer for youngest as I do work out that on a pence per nappy basis it is cheaper to do so. Going to potty train her over Christmas - big sis got the hang of it straight away so I am hoping for another quick result!

AR, I hope this doesn't offend you but I have to ask - is there really a market for used reusable nappies?!?!?

I have to agree there. It's a bit like buying used knickers - and there is no way I would do that.

Hmmmn, if they were sanitised and bleached....why don't they allow them to be sold on flea bay?

I would not buy used knickers or nappies from anywhere, regardless of how well they had been cleaned.

With no disrespect to anyone on here - how do you know how well they have been cleaned?

I guess you wash them again when you receive them?

I can't say I would choose to but if needs must etc., one day who knows what I may have to do?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Well if you were that desperate you could always clean them yourself before using them. I agree it's a bit of a strange one but I guess sometimes needs must.

They had a stall at the Big Chill this year with a bill board outside saying how much you would pay on this type of product and if you add it up it is a lot of money......but still no way!

I should have expected that sort of comment about the nappies...sigh...

I wash them after each use. There is a liner to catch solids and these are flushable and biodegradable. Solids don't ever touch the nappy. Yes they get wet, but a good wash has them looking as good as new. If you think about it, they have to be clean enough to use again and again on the same child and to be passed down if you have more kids in the future. I'm sure our parents and grandparents had terry towel squares that had been passed on to them or reused on a second child. No difference at all.
