That's good to know foggy. I never thought I would consider one but they seem quite reasonable and I read so many books.

Must admit that I still like a good old fashioned book. I'm always up at the library.

Yes, Jan, I prefer real books ( but I am a dinosaur). I have only read the one book on the kindle, it was ok, once I had got used to it. But, through the book club, I got to know the author and he has given me a signed copy of the "real" edition ... far better.

That said, when we go and visit the in-laws we always take a few books each, now just have to take the one kindle !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I still take a couple of books away with me if I'm going away anywhere.

I love my technology but just really don't fancy a Kindle.

I love the look of a kindle but all the books I like to read aren't on kindle unfortunately! I'm not really a fiction fan and there don't seem to be many non fiction books available on kindle format

I'm not a kindle fan but I am a gadget fan, I want an ipad, we have them at work now for students to use...so I do get to play.

I do read but mostly to do with my Uni course at the moment as I'm busy meeting a deadline for an assignment due in in two weeks!

I'm sure you'll complete it in time.

Never realy fancied an iPad either. I like my trusty laptop.

Oh no it wouldn't replace my PC or laptop, there's no comparison there, it's just because I want one.

I have to have the proper keyboard for typing etc., an ipad no use for assignments or my work.

I've got an ereader (Sony version of a Kindle) and I love it. It's so much better when we go away as I only have to take the ereader rather than 5 or 6 books!

I've never fancied an iPad as I prefer a laptop. I doubt I'd use it instead of my laptop and I wouldn't be able to read books on it as it's backlit and would make my eyes ache.

That's the main reason I wouldn't want one Lesley - it would take me too long to email without a proper keyboard!

I bought my ereader last year and I wouldn't be without it now! I thought about a Kindle but didn't like the idea of being tied to Amazon hence going for the Sony.
