Morning both! It was a fantastic evening. Room was nice and beautifully decorated thanks to Aquise, Freelili, Steve and Emma. It was great to finally put faces to names and it was our first time and we were made to really feel at home. Nice buffet as well.

We went up to bed at about 12.20.

Hotel was good (nice breakfast this morning!), sorry that you couldn't make it, hope to meet you both soon.

You really don't want to know the jokes, believe me!

We had such a great time. Fantastic company and the room was decorated lovely, really christmassy so thanks to everyone Jan has mentioned for that. Thanks also to Melanie and Steve who sponsored the night. Buffet was gorgeous, we were the first to the table and went back for seconds! It was fab to finally meet my special forum friends. I look forward to the next one.

By the way, I wore my deeley boppers even if nobody else did![^]

Hi

I am back home now too, waiting for my grandbaby to arrive, so glad he is actually late, tee, hee. Could actually do with an afteroon on the sofa watching TV, but you got to take like by the horns and live, right, errr where did I put my good brain juice?

I really enjoyed the night, the company, lovely to meet everyone and again thanks to Melanie and Steve for making it all possible.

Please dont shoot me but I didnt like the talk very much, for several reasons.

Firstly, we had really tried to create a christmassy atmosphere, FF, virgins and newbies were quite nervous and we almost had to break the ice twice, which left us all a little bit flat. Took the winds right out of our sails to be honest. Also I felt the subject wasnt really appropriate. The talk was delivered really well and was interesting but I feel it only applicable at a skin deep level. Its OK to try to be positive when youre feeling a little bit down with yourself. Not that easy when you really are down a black hole and scared out of your wits and have to keep it all a secret.

Afternoon Lily, glad you got home ok.

I felt the talk would have been better on the practical aspects of financial problems.

Once we had met you, Ang, Steve and Emma and Pixie, we felt right at home, and our table had a nice mix as well, we all got on well. Would probably have been better if we could all have sat together, but of course we were expecting a lot more people originally.

I think I left my good brain juice behind - will have to try and find it for tomorrow!

Hi Folks, and just to reiterate what the others have said. It was a great evening, and although it was our first time, we felt like we felt like we were meeting old friends. great company and a warm welcome from everyone - thank you all. And yes I did try a pair of the deely boppers, but they came with no instructions!!!!!!!!. Ah - bad brain juice me thinks.
As I have said before, no-one knows of our IVA, and so it really was good to be able to talk freely and openly and not to have to create the normal pretence.
These meetings will definitely be a part of our somewhat sparse social life from now on. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks again to all who made it possible.
Kev & Michelle
we'll make it !!

Hi Kev,

We've just had a chuckle at the deely boppers again!

Must sort out some good brain juice for work next week!

Hi all. Ahh I have finally got to sit down. We got home had a coffee with lily and then went straight to visiting the grandbabies. Parked on the sofa now and am not moving for the rest of the day.

Yet again another night we went to bed late, I think it was 1.15 when we finally retired. It just shows though how good the company was as always.

I will write a full report either topic or blog over the next couple of days on how the evening went, so you will all know what we were up to and nattering about.

No one is going to shoot you lily, feedback from these meetings is so important, the whole point is for everyone to enjoy them and so all comments are appreciated.
Generally these meetings are in a lounge bar rather than a function room as this was a xmas gathering we were so kindly provided our own room, super buffet and speaker by sponsors Melanie Giles and Vincent bond. Andy as always our fantastic host.

Keep the suggestions coming.

It was soo good to put faces to names we know so well and to see friends again from previous meetings.
Kev and Michelle these meetings are a huge part of our social life as well, we have enjoyed every one, I am looking forward to the next already.

I'm glad you all had a good time, I was gutted I couldn't be there. I seem to remember Manchester being mentioned for the next one, so that will be too far for us, but hopefully we'll be at the one after that!

We're both feeling better thanks, and my back and neck seem better, although I don't think a couple of hours in the car would have done me any good!
