I happened to be in British Home Stores this afternoon - which is not a shop I normally frequent, but needed some new sheets and it is handy to where I live.

I was amazed at the range of cheap, but really nice Christmas gifts they have in store at really reasonable prices. Lots of toiletries packs, biscuits and chocolate gifts (yum!), gifts involving alchohol and lovely spice sets, flavoured oils all starting around £10. I bought my sister in law a fluffy slipper set with some foot soak and creams for a tenner - and it looks really nice. They also have some great DVD sets as well.

Worth a look for anyone looking for well thought out, and nice pressies on a budget.

Thanks Melanie, that sounds perfect as I need that kind of gift for my sis-in-law but can't afford M&S or John Lewis. I actually love BHS, their cafe here is lovely. X

The only time I go into BHS is at Christmas as they do have lovely gifts, perfect for things like secret santa at work and gifts for friends.

Remember that Boots have go the 3 for 2 on every gift also which is a help[:)] And Sainsburys also have 3 for 2 on gifts[:)]
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Bhs is fab for xmas gifts and homeware items. We went a few wks ago when they had one of their '20% off everything' events, and we got some real bargains.Tk maxx is great for bargains too,but you need lots of time to go in there as it can be a bit like a jumble sale!! xx

Great post Melanie and everyone,[:)]
I'm going to have a look in BHS for some pressies.
I've started and got most items from Macro - it is also great, but you need a Macro card. If anyone lives near me (Bristol), you arewelcome to borrow mine if you want to have a look. You'll need to get admin to give you my e-mail address so I can find out where to sendthe card to - or you could meet me there - it's at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.
Take care all,

The BHS in Solihull have the same things also, the range is amazing, there really is something for everyone. Also in Sainsburys they had a half price toys sale on, I bought a rattle thingy with lots of interesting things going on for my baby, only £1.99 and the same thing in toys R us was £7.99 Toys R rip off more like.

I havent really got my christmas head on yet but I have looked at least.

Tesco were giving away a free Green and Black's chocolate cookery book if you bought 3 bars of Green and Blacks.

I did manage to resist temptation as I wouldn't know what to do with the cookery book and I'm supposed to be on a diet!

See, I do have willpower!
