We put ours up the nearest weekend to 1st Dec, and always take them down in the afternoon of New Years day as I have to go back into work on the 2nd.
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

Don't do Christmas, once the iva is over I'll be on the first plane out of here. Rather spend my money on a one week holiday away that fritter it away on an over commercialised few days of excesses.

Louise - a woman after my own heart!! I will be doing the same once my parents are no longer with us. Put the lights up to be sociable with the neighbours and husband would'nt even bother with those or cards if he had his way.

We don't do cards - donate to local charity instead. Don't do a tree or decs - parrot would eat them. Just enjoy having hubby home from work for a couple of days.

I can't wait to put ours up.I love the christmas tree and sparkly lights!
No money for many pressies but I'll make sure my dogs have some treats wrapped up under the tree!
I never want to take them down again but hubby is fed up with them by boxing day usually.
Next weekend this place will look like Santa's grotto!!

Always buy the dogs a pressie, silly as I am, but not bothered about the rest.

I'm always happy when they are down and packed away again.

I'm counting down the days until Saturday/Sunday when I get to put my tree up. My daughter bought me my annual decoration bless her it's become a bit of a tradition. Granddaughter has made me one this year too and she's here at the weekend so can help me decorate the tree.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I'm at work Saturday so ours will probably be Sunday - depends on whether parents are across or not on Sunday.

Mine will not be put up until 10 days before and will come down on New Year Day before i go back to work.....once xmas is over I want it down...but hubby won't let me !
Not the same since my dad past away when I was 14, and this year is doubly hard as my "second dad" (close friend) past away in January and so I really do not have any father figure anymore and christmas just is not the same ! Sorry for being morbid......

Is it wrong that I've spent more on presents for Harry than for Dave?!?!
