I have never seen this put forward as allowable expenditure, but do not see why it should not be included within the "miscellaneous" expenditure. Have you been eating too many pies???

I considered trying to claim for it but didn't think I'd get away with it! And yes, I have been eating too many pies as the scales at Weight Watchers proved tonight - I put on 1.5lb!

melanie.
how very dare you !.
i have the body of an 18 year old, (and he wants it back !).
i was attending slimming world up until recently and lost 4 stone, got a little expensive with both me and mrs torch going, so had to knock it on the head.
just wondered whether to put it down when i get my first review, i know its a long way off, just planning ahead.

Well done for losing 4st! I joined Slimming World years ago and lost 2 stone but got fed up with going to the meeting, and paying the money! I joined Weight Watchers in March but I'm really struggling with motivation and money. Perhaps we should start the IVA Forum Slimming Club! I said the other day that my body is a temple and Dave replied so was the Acropolis once but look at it now! I'm lucky that my work pays for a gym membership, it's just finding the motivation to go.

skippy13.
yes, it does get a little expensive, just to pay to get weighed.
my company also has corporate membership at a gym, so i have no excuse really,(apart from being a lazy barsteward that is).
i have lapsed recently, and am determined to get my racing snake figure back, so we will try to find the money.
i don't want a repeat of the last time we went to the seaside, i was sunbathing and greenpeace tried to drag me back into the sea.

Skippy,

You say you have gained one and a half pounds at weightwatchers tonight, if I were you I'd keep quiet about it otherwise your creditors might want 50% of it.

Chris.

Well Dave calls me his little hippopotamus, and I too have no excuse (apart from my laziness!) for not going to the gym. I've only ever stayed for the WW meeting once, and I nearly got thrown out for arguing with the Fuerher, sorry, Leader, so I pay £5 per week just to get weighed but I'm going to persevere - I WILL BE THIN!

Good luck, and let me know how you get on. I've got 1 1/2 to 2 stone to lose - that's depressed me just thinking about it!

Glad it's not just me Tracy! I'm really trying with Weight Watchers but I'm finding it so hard. Dave is taking me on holiday 6 weeks on Saturday and I would like to lose half a stone by then - if I can find some motivation it should be possible! Every now and then I dream about being back in my size 12 skirts, but then I wake up!

Now what I would do to be like you girls out there!!! I eat for England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland (throw in Africa as well) and I cannot put any weight on! It just seems to keep falling off! If I put my arms up, I'll probably fall thru my bottom!!!! New partner says I need to jump around in the shower to get wet or stand behind a lamp post to cast a shadow!! How rude!!!!

PS There is a great diet on Best of Spark on the internet and its free with a brilliant excercise programme, support network and --------------

THE FOOD IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree Tracy, I am definitely built for comfort! My problem is I hate exercise and I love food! Sue, I eat for all 5 continents and sadly it all goes straight to my stomach and thighs! Oh well, I'm off to the gym now...
