Hi - today, i made the last of my 60 payments. Phew.......

However, over the years i have seen several posts about when everything will be removed from my credit file. So, does anyone have an exact answer to this:

Suppose it is Jan 1st 2000 and my IVA STARTS on this date (credit meeting). On what date in the future should the record of the IVA be removed from my credit file AND any associated bad credit records from the companies i was in debt with? So, what date would my credit file have NOTHING on it at all (assume i take out no credit for 1 year after my IVA ended (so in this example Jan 1st 2005))....

Thank you!

First of all ..Well Done on finishing :-)

Your credit file repairs on the 6th anniversary of the start of the IVA ( assuming you have been issued with a completion certificate by that time ). This is also assuming defaults have been correctly dated and will also drop off the files.

Your entry on the Insolvency Register will disappear three months after the issue of your completion certificate.

My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
