My last payment to my IVA is the end of this month (Nov 2008)

Can you tell me whether the insolvency practice will clean my credit file or do I have to write to the credit reporting companies to get my report amended? I have a CCJ and a number of defaults- will these be removed after year 6- 12 months after my IVA being satified. My insolvency practice has not provided me with any detail of how my credit file will appear after settling the IVA.

Hi
The record of your IVA will fall off your credit file six years from the date that it started,as will any defaults and CCJs.
Personally I would just wait another twelve months rather than have all the hassle of writing to thr credit record agencies.

Your personal credit file has nothing to do with your IP, and they will not take any stepts to "clean" it. You will, however, be served with a Certificate of Due Completion, which will also be circulated to your creditors and can be sent to the CRAs.
