Hi

My partner had a Full and Final offer accepted in September. I'm just now checking and getting the credit reports updated.

He has a CCJ from 2015. However, the company that applied for to the CCJ debt is showing as settled. The debt from this was sold to a debt collection company which was included in the IVA.

Do we just get everything else in order and let the CCJ drop off? Why would the creditor with the debt from the CCJ show as settled?

Thoughts
Cheers

Debts that have been through an IVA are reported as settled, partially settled and also as open variously -- there does seem to be not rhyme or reason in what they report-- even balances seem to be plucked out of thin air !

However, I assume the CCJ pre-dates the IVA and so, will be of little concern in its effect on your credit worthiness, as this is shot while the IVA shows anyway -- which it will do for 6 years from the start date (by which time the CCJ will have gone on its merry way into oblivion).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
