Clear Start has 3 Ips and DFD has about 6 or eight. If your IP is no longer serving you then your case will be transferred. It is that simple.Like if a Dr leaves a surgery etc. I don't think every Clear Start IVA case will go to DFD and if so then what are the IPs from ClearStart doing?? Can a firm exist with no IPs?

Im sorry for the delayed reply Iv moved and been off line for a bit. I rang DFD last week and spoke to a very pleasant lady. I asked who my new IP is and she said I didn't have one yet!!! I asked who was supervising my IVA, she said that all staff there could answer my questions as they were all trained. I said I was concerned that at the moment no one who was a qualified IP was over seeing my case. I realise that my case is fairly simple and straight forward but Im a bit concerned.

Hi Marsha, Im having big problems with Dfd as well. I have another post on here about it all. We are the same as you we havent got an ip yet !!!! Melanie the forum expert said last night that this is wrong and not acceptable.I have rang again today to find out where my missing documents are ,what is happening with my hubbys variation meeting and it seems i cant have any answers and like you everyone is trained to deal with my inquiry!!Clearstart have asked us to pay reduced amount before variation has been confirmed which they should have not have done and now we are 2 months in arrears because of it its all a complete mess.Still no news who new ip is either . I give up .I was also on the phone for 45 minutes !!! while put on hold for every question i asked. Im well and truly fed up with the whole thing.

Oh dear. I must admit the lady I spoke tocouldn't find me when I gave her my reference number, I gave her my post code and she still struggled, she did eventually find my details. I have moved and wanted to give my new address, she asked me to send proof, which I have done. I had e mailed Clearstart originally as soon as I knew I was moving but correspondence still went to old address which is scary as this sort of mail is very confidential. I hope this isn't going to go horribly wrong I have just over 4 years to go, it's a long time with an incompetent company.

Gosh, they couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery could they?

I do hope you all get sorted out soon, it's worrying enough without having all this extra stress.

If we get no joy then we are thinking of going bankrupt. We really cant be doing with any more stress. Dfd asked if we had asked Clearstart if we could have a payment break which we did ,but heard nothing more.Dfd are telling us that Clearstart have handled our ivas wrong and have made mistakes !! Not very reassuring I hope Melanie sees this as we are completely lost and dont know what to do .

Thanks KALLIS3, I hope so too after ringing every day this week we have found out virtually nothing . With our paperwork missing and documents they want me to find some more .Thats going to be fun , hubbys payslips in there and other personal stuff. He is not happy at all. The not knowing who the ip is bothers me the most and is my money safe going into my old ips account ?? Melanie says it is but i still worry .They have made it all sound as though its our fault and blaming Clearstart.

Rachel - they might be correct in what they are saying about the previous company, and althought they bought the IVA portfolio wenever know what we are getting until you get stuck into the files. So do try and give DFD a chance to resolve things for you. There is no harm in politely asking that if you are able to produce the information for them say over the next couple of weeks, would they be able to give you an answer within the following couple of weeks - and ask for the name of the Manager who is directly responsible from now on for supervising your case, so that you have someone to chase if things do not get done.

Please don't throw away all of the good work which has already gone into your case unecessarily, to have to start the whole process off again with a bankrtupcy.

Thanks MELANIE, DFD have said that they will look into the files and get back to me . Also my disabled daughter is due to go to Leicster Royal Infirmary on Monday she is 13 and needs another operation, i am worried and stressed about that, when i told Dfd that of course she has been having treatment in Leicester which is 60 miles from home could i send in proof of that because of extra traveling costs. Im not being funny about it but my daughters hospital appointments are a private family affair. I can also see that im not the only one on here worried about this whole transfer process.

with regards to your daughter , i have same problems?do you get dla for her?if so just deduct any money you get via dla and disability premiums in your tax credits from your income and and state that this money is used for her and her alone and that is why the goverment gives it to her.you can right a list of everything penny you spend of it as it is there as and when you need it.I have decided to open up another account and everything my son gets in dla and extra tax credits is going in there

Rachel

Your number one priority now is your daughter, and I wish her well with her operation. Poor little one it is just not fair, but keep strong and all will be well.

I would never ask a client to provide petrol receipts for trips to visit a sick child in hospital, but the relationship I have with my clients is rather different to IPs who are handling large portfolios of cases.

If it would help, Paul Johns of Reviva has an excellent reputation of dealing with client disputes with their IP and it might be worth giving him a call. Whilst in a perfect world, this should not be necessary, quite often a word in the right ear reaps rewards.

We'll all be thinking of you on Monday, and do let us know how everything goes.
