Had a nice chat with our supervisor regarding direct debit not taken.
Was a mix up at their end, so transferred the payment straight across as that was the last payment due.

Now just going to wait for our CC to drop through the letter box!!

I cannot believe we are pretty much finished. The wife still does all the sums each week, working out what is going out and how much is left.

I guess it wont be long and im going to be asking how to get our Experian/Noodle credit score sorted out[:D].

Anyway one thing at a time.
Will let you know when the brown envelope arrives!!!

Thanks for reading

Regards

To begin sorting your credit you need to wait for your CC, to have come off the IVA register (up to 3 months afterwards) and for 6 years from the start of your IVA to pass.
You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

Hi Lisa, many thanks for that. Watched the video and found it helpful. Our six years is not up until the end of this October so I understand we have to wait for this to come up before anything starts to happen.

I have checked my credit record on Noodle and for example about a year and a half into our IVA a lot of our debts were bought by Max recovery and the default marks on my credit file start then.
Some creditors defaults actually do start from the actual date (month) that the IVA started.

I was going to wait for the six year anniversary date to come up (END OF OCTOBER 2016) and then see what happens!! It will probley be more like December until there is any change.

Credit reports: I have already done the free trial with Experian. And looking at that once you have done the free trial period its £14.99 monthly.

Unless, I guess you could you a different e-mail address for another free trial?

We do get a lot of Vanquis mail offering a card. I will probley do that at some stage to help with the repair job.
BUT I WILL NOT BE PAYING ANY INTREST!

Getting a another car is high on the list for us,and I know for a fact they use Experian for their credit checks.

Just got to be patience I guess!!!
Not my strongest point!!!

Many thanks

Hi Yes wait until after October 2016 and then if the defaults don't drop off automatically you can contact specific creditors to get them to take the defaults off.

I'm not sure about Experian but that sounds high. I thought it was just a few pounds.

Perhaps wait until October then get another one. I can't see why you would want to keep ordering every month.

Try the free ones too.

Yes Lisa I think its really high. I can understand wanting to check your credit file if something has changed like IVA or you have been refused credit etc.

But had a good read up yesterday on The Martin Lewis site about credit files etc and whats free and what costs etc.

Going to keep using Noodle until Nov then see what changes!

regards
baldy

It is £15 quid a month for Experian but you can just do the £2 for a report as and when you need it.

Hi Kallis.

Many thanks for that info.Ive just printed off a couple of applications for the £2 credit report from Experian. Going to see what they have on their system for me before the six years is up (October) and then get another one done probley in November just to compare them.

Will let you know how it all goes!!

I know its not going to happen at the pace I want it to but slowly slowy!!!

Regards
