I know how you all feel. My 8 year old son doesn't understand when we say no! but he has started to do jobs around the house for a pound here and there which he is saving for his holiday with his Nan. I went to school today and a mum asked if he needed a couple of school sweatshirts that were almost brand new and too small for her kids. I gladly accepted and they are almost brand new! Saved me £19 !

I am so sorry Ang that your daughter couldn't go on her trip. I can imagine how you must have felt.

Chin up, I am sure your meeting will go ok and you can embark on the rest of your life

Just reading all these comments has made me feel better. I'm having one of "those" days just like we all get.
It seems to be as though you go round in a circle. I find I'm a little left out with the Mums at school, because you get asked to go out first and then you have to say no because the lack of money. Then you find eventually you stop getting asked to go[:(]and when they all stand there chatting and laughing you find yourself left out. So I've now started to move away from the group.

It's hard with a 6 year old boy that is always on the go and likes to be entertained all the time. I need to find some ideas that don't cost much money to keep him occupied[:)]

We pay £900 a month and hardly have any spare cash some months and unfortunately when you sit down when you've just go paid and work out that the next four weeks are going to be just a case of exsisting it can get a little gloomy[:(]

But..... on a brighter note I must remember I will be out of this situation one day and be a better person for it. sorry for grumbling.
Its good to know you are all there[:)]

when mine was little. we used to take a picnic to the park and spend the day there. there was 3 families of us. we took bat and ball, footballs etc. playing kickie rounders and football cricket. all made up names but hey we loved it!! sometimes we also used to take a disposable BBQ with bangers and burgers. Only money spent was for an ice cream for kids and petrol if going a little bit further a field. suggest it to the mams you never know might think its a good idea
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

Thanks Angela18,

I think I need to start looking into things a lot deeper and creative. We'll have to get on our walking boots[:)]

I would love to join the local gym where they have kids clubs and judo, swimming etc but that is put on hold until a little more funds become available, you know how it is!!?

I'm sure there must be a web site somewhere,"thngs to do!" I shall get hunting!! [:)]
