I haven't heard about that Andy. That's not good if they are doing that. Mind you, I'd still recommend the account even if there is a charge to open it as I think it's the best basic account out there.
Agreed Skippy, but I would also mention that in the last year I must have recommended that a few thousand people/couples consider this account and until 2 weeks ago I never knew of 1 rejection but since then I have had 2 or 3 in a row. I hope it is just coincidence but has anyone else noticed this?

The only rejections I've heard of is when people can't produce ID (I had this problem first time I tried to open the account) or when someone isn't on the electoral register. It's amazing the amount of people who don't realise that they need to be on it!
It sounds as though you might have applied for a full current account Fox as I'm pretty sure you can only apply for a Cashminder on the phone or in a branch.
