Hello thirtyfive and welcome.

Can you post us a few more details about your debt and how much money you have available to pay?

You could try entering into a Debt Managment Plan. You would be allowed to pay a lower sum each month. Some creditors will agree to freeze interest and some wont so you wont have an awful lot of legal protection

Why not try speaking to an Insolvency Practiotioner who will clearly outline ALL the options and point you in the right direction.

I would highly recommend Melanie Giles who posts on this forum. Her details can be found on the experts page.

It is fair to say that your creditors would prefer to receive something than nothing, in which case you should fully explore the options of debt management, IVA and bankruptcy proceedings. An Insolvency Practitioner will be able to advise you on all options.
