It's going back a long way though so hopefully the OP has been sorted out.

As to the latter post then hopefully the client can be sorted out.

Wow ! You guys are on the ball ! I am a lawyer, frustrated by the usurious behaviour of the claimant in a case I have at the moment. I didn't really think anyone would be watching, but was rather letting off steam.
In the meantime I have found a more recent thread on swarb.
The company I referred to is referred to in this thread for some reason that is not explained anywhere as "company name deleted by request". It is company name deleted by request Limited, which is connected to *deleted*. See [2010] EWCA Civ 369 but replace the "successful interntional businessman in the financial world" with a relatively ignorant, uneducated foreign lady.

Complaining to the OFT is not going to prevent the claimant from obtaining an order for possession.

Absent non est factum or undue influence, with which there are technical difficulties, the private law is on the side of the sharks.

One for Watchdog, perhaps, to warn the unwary.

Kallis3, I tried to name the company, but the system has converted it into "company name deleted by request".

*name deleted*

As the name was deleted originally I am deleting it again.
