I wondering if anyone can help.

I completed my IVA early in Feb this year but need some help as to what can stay on my credit file. Two of the companies barclaycard and HSBC sold the debt on before i entered into an IVA. The companies that brought the debt show on my credit file as defaulted but with the amounts, satisfied. Barclaycard and HSBC show a default but the amounts are still showing and they have refused to change them to satisfied.

They have all received a copy of my completion certificate.

1. Are they allowed to show the amount of debt and not class it as satisfied.

2. Are two different companies for the same debt allowed to stay on my credit file, or should it be just one of them?

You really have to keep on at the credit companies and the lenders. My file showed that I still owed for example £5,000 but instead of this classed as a default it was classed as satisfied.

They have a duty to do this for all your IVA debts so keep on at them.

These entries will remain on your credit file for six years from the date that your IVA commenced. Are you still within this timeframe?

Also some lenders will mark as partial satisfied.
On the slow safe road to success. Personal thanks to Melanie Giles Kallis Skippy Elv5 and all the other wonderful forum friends.
