I have finally received my completion certificate and final report from Grant Thornton. I never thought this day would come, I am finally debt free! I was part of the mass variation last month so hopefully many of you waiting for certs will be receiving yours too.

Samantha, same here! Sounds like lots of GTs are getting some good news. On a related point, I was a bit surprised that I didn't get a certificate, all I got was a letter signed by Mark Allen saying under so and so regulation, I discharge myself from the responsibility of this IVA, and that it is completed. Is that what you got?

Yes that's what I got too but apparently that is adequate. I'm so happy, I missed out on voluntary severance a few months ago at work as gt would have swallowed my payment.

Brilliant news - have you decided what to spend the first month's saved IP payment on yet?

My last payment was last summer so it has taken nearly a year to complete. Time to move on now and look forward to my new baby arriving in October.

Hi Samantha - Congratulations. Hoping that GT will sort out my IVA paid them a full and final settlement in april 2012 and they still have not organised the meeting with our creditors to see if they agree to the variation due to PPI. We started our IVA June 2006 so 7 years now - what happened to 5 years..... I would never advise anyone to go into an IVA, we are worried that it will never end. Did you get any interest back from PPI? Do you know how long after the creditors meeting that the certificate was issued. Looks like we may have ours sorted by the end of this year but phew.. 7 years and 6 months I am sure that I could have made better arrangements with my creditors. Once again congrats. Heres hoping

Dont be too hopeful We paid a full and final settlement in April 2012 and still not received completion certificate Due to variation on PPI. GT have still not got the meeting organsised with our creditors to see if they agree on the variation. Our creditors did agree to the full and final settlement though. So hopefully in next couple of months should be sorted. After 7 years.... Never want to go through this again
