Nothing back from DFD yet!! I don't understand why they can't supply an answer immediately when they have confirmed in writing there is nothing (i.e. PPI) holding the matter up and they confirmed 6-8 weeks for issue of CC. That has now gone by and they just don't seem interested. Complaints procedure it will have to be if things can't be resolved!! So frustrating that they can drag out issuing the CC arghhh!!!

Furious about this situation now!!! DFD insisted we sign a Deed of Assignment to get our CC issued which we did quite some time ago - they confirmed they had everything they needed. Now had a call from EIF saying that everything is being held up as we haven't signed some forms for a bank we have never dealt with!!! We sent the forms back to EIF confirming we did not know this company some 18 months ago and have heard nothing since - we sent further forms back when our variation was approved last year but only now I start complaining about the CC do we get a call from EIF. Can DFD legally withhold our CC when they have a signed Deed of Assignment? Fuming!!!

This just gets better!!! DFD are asking me to produce evidence that I haven't taken a loan/credit out with a Bank. I hadn't even heard of the bank until EIF mentioned them - am struggling to think what evidence I can provide to show something isn't mine!!!

Now banging our heads against a brick wall when we should be at the end of a long road!!!

Arghh!!!

Can DFD legally withhold our Cc when we have complied with everything including signing a Deed of Assignment? We have complied with everything EIF have asked apart from signing for a PPI claim with a bank I have never dealt with. Legal advice was not to sign as this could be deemed as a fraudulent claim. DFD now want me to provide evidence the loan wasn't mine - how on earth can I do that!!! Arghh this is driving me around the bend!!!

Random Lady,

Maybe you should seek legal advice on the conduct, and legality of it, of DFD.

They, and a couple of other IVA facilitating companies seem to be the bane of many peoples lives.

It seems that not a week goes by without a forum post regarding their shocking treatment/service to clients.

How on earth can you possibly provide proof of not having taken out a loan with a bank...what evidence would possibly exist???...

Unbelievable request from DFD[:0]

Just look at your credit file....if the loan is not yours then it wouldn't have appeared and that should be proof enough.

The bank would also hold the credit agreement of the loan if you had own it, contact them to verify.
I hope you are not a victim of identity fraud.

Work with Dfd and EFI on this one.

Random lady would surely have had some correspondence chasing the debt from the alleged lender at some stage in the past, so would have been alerted to any fraud.

Is it probable that it is some form of administrative error on the side of EIF?

Thing is TzeKin I have worked with DFD and EIF all the way through but am getting nothing but hassle now. On Friday EIF said the claim was with either Bank of Scotland or Morgan Stanley yet today they say it was with Yorkshire so they don't even seem to know who it is with. I haven't dealt with any of thse banks!!

The whole point of signing the Deed of Assignment was to get the Completion Certificate and resolve any outstanding issues later. This isn't happening even though DFD have sent emails conifirming they have everything in order to release the CC.

I think legal advice is all I can do now but it is so unfair that this will cost me money. So frustrated !!!

Hi all - just an update. Have now received an email from DFD confirming the PPI is being looked at to close it down. The final report and CC are with the IP for reviewing and signing and should be with us shortly.
Fingers crossed it looks like this nightmare may be coming to an end!!

Hi all - we have finally received our Completion Certificate today!!! DFD have advised EIF that the PPI with the account we have never heard of will not be pursued.
Now to challenge the mortgage lenders as the CC was holding us up moving to a better deal so we'll see what happens now we have the CC and DFD have confirmed that will automatically remove the interest in the property.
Now to get moving with tidying up our files!!
