I think that most of the time the record is removed once the IR get the letter from the IP.

I don't think that companies will get anything from the Insolvency Service, I think that maybe this company have been informed by your IP that you have completed and hopefully your letter will follow shortly.

Got the same letter a few weeks back, b***** annoying

They have old copies of the full register on subscription and contact people who have completed their IVA's that way. Nothing the ICO/Insolvency service can do either.

I'd suggest making a complaint to them though, as the more people who complain the more likelyhood something will get done in the future to stop these lowlifes

No regards to people who just want to move on at the end and get on with their lives without the reminders.

MPS and TPS registered to stop the junk mail like this but they don't care they just spam more trees at you.

What's the point though? You've finished, they can't sell you anything so best shredded in my opinion.

I know they wanted me to unlock my final salary pension, even if it was possible, I'd be mad too ;-)

You have a few countdowns on the go dont you Jan! lol

I have a couple of small pensions on the go that my parents carried on paying for me when my IVA started, but i wont be UNLOCKING them with Otheroptions.co.uk.

The letter states "why not unlock your pension and spend the money on say a holiday!!!" .....Have I learnt nothing from 5 years in an IVA !!!!!

I am with DFD and got the same letter after completion. I completed months after my I've years were up and there was barely a week between the completion letter and th other options letter. Made me think that either DFD sold my information on or they got it from the insolvency service?

DFD won't have sold your info, it will have come from the register. If these companies subscribe then they only have to wait until you've finished then they can pounce.

We too have had these letters - we are still on the register and received our certifcate the day after we received the first letter. How would they know we have completed as the register still shows our names and we weren't due to finish until next year? We also thought that DFD might have sold our info on.
It's been a long road getting from there to here but it's been worth it!

No idea on that but wouldn't have thought your details would be sold on. It's bad if that is what has happened.

I would hate to think it was anything to do with DFD but all kinds of thoughts went through my mind. I would prefer to think that the register was the source, if there had to be one - or could one of our former creditors be linked to 'Other Options'? All the same, it was very unnerving to receive the letters so soon after completion and before we even had our certificates in our hands.

Our names are still on the register and the footnote states:-

'Individual Voluntary Arrangements will remain visible while they are Current, and for a period of 3 months after the receipt of notice of the revocation order, full implementation or termination of the agreement'

I will keep checking though, in the hope that our names are removed sooner.

On a more cheerful note, a great relief to finally receive our Completion Certificates in the post on Friday!

hi, we got our completion certificates in August this year but we're still waiting to come off the insolvency register. we rang them, they said it was pretty instant as soon as they had contact from our IP.
so, we contacted Mel (our IP),Mel says everythings been done & it can take up to 3 months to be removed - we keep checking - can't wait!!
Nothing stays the same...everything changes..hang on in there!
