I feel I may not be alone in this rant... A little back ground, I made my final payment into my IVA in August to DFD some 7 months later I have had little or no contact with DFD. My PPI are being dealt with by Equity in Finance and this seems to be where the problem lies.
They have had my case for over 18 months and it is still not completed, I have been in contact with them numerous times and keep getting told this provider is in dispute, then this one is in dispute and its just dragging everything back. The amount of commission they take is discussing for the amount of time they take to complete claims.
However my real annoyance lies with DFD, I without fail paid into my IVA every month for 5 years, all this time they have been applying their charges and no doubt earning interest on my money sat in there bank account. When you contact them by email they take 10 days to reply and when they do reply you get standard emails like the below:
Thank you for your email.
Your case is currently with our third party, Equity in Finance who are investigating the possibility of a refund of miss sold payment protection insurance. Upon completion of their investigations they will update both yourself and Debt Free Direct with the outcome. Once we have received the confirmation that all avenues have been investigated, we will then take the internal steps necessary to complete your IVA and issue the Certificate of Completion.
You can also contact Equity in Finance directly on 01902 863760, if you require a more detailed update.
Should you wish to contact us please contact the Customer Support team on 0844 826 0625.
Not even signed with a persons name, I have just sent off a polite but to the point email back and no doubt I will have to wait another 10 days to get a reply. I have to wonder what I am paying my money for. I just want this whole process completed now and not to be still in the IVA in 2014 some 18 months after I completed my payments.
Has anyone else had similar issues and any advise on how to get things moving would be appreciated.
In and IVA and looking forward to the future

Hi Ianhrp, their after IVA customer service is shocking to say the least and EIF are also as bad. All i can advise you is phone EIF and get an update from them to exactly where you are and what is holding up your completion.
Don't worry about ranting, i have done enough of that on here regarding these two shambolic, inept, disgraceful companies and their after care service.
Good luck and best wishes, hopefully they won't keep you waiting too long.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
