Hi

has anyone completed an IVA with Harrington Brooks?

If so can you tell me how the process went?

Many thanks in advance
An IVA is a long hard road but valuable lessons have been learnt along the way. Now looking forward to enjoying a debt free future!

Lol....
I posted this a few days ago thinking there must be someone who could answer my question because Harrington Brooks claim to be the no1 provider of IVAs???....

The question has been asked before I believe. They are either not quite Number One, or all of their clients are so happy they do not need to visit forums !!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi

I've often thought it odd that few (if any) of our clients post on this forum.

We are indeed number 1 for MOCs set each month and have been some time (I believe PayPlan are fairly close to us in numbers).

We're not perfect (indeed I've seen some less than complimentary things written about us on other forums - mainly to do with DM in fairness) but knowing the processes from the inside, we run a tight ship. If you've complied with your VA then your completion should be wrapped up very quickly with minimal fuss.

I hope you feel you've had good service from us so far!

Hi Dave. Hopefully it bodes well that few of your clients post here --- although positive experiences would always "help the cause". I think we mere mortals are more inclined to make a noise and throw brickbats when we are badly served rather than hand out bouquets when we are well served. Which is a pity.

This is true - we're always more inclined to rant about poor service than praise good. That's human nature I suppose.

Thanks Dave.
I can honestly say that although the IVA itself is a difficult thing to live through, Harrington Brooks have been good with us during the process, hopefully like you say, the end will get sorted swiftly.
The last five years have been tough and we are keen to put it behind us and move on to a debt free future. Valuable lessons have been learnt. :)

My official 5 years is now up and I have not heard a thing in writing about the closure process. Is this normal?
I have spoken to caseworkers on the phone who have assured me that all is well and I dont need to do anything. I just feel unnerved because I am at the end and everything has gone quiet. I want to be happy that I have got this far but I am frightened that something is going to happen to put a downer on things?. I feel like im in limbo. Sorry to go on. :(

I have asked Foggy and have been told there is nothing I need to do. My gut feeling is that there must be more required of us at this stage?

Yes - it does feel such an anti-climax (especially without the fanfare and marching band ) !
