No one is touting for business on either forum, and no one is paid to recommend any company. The advice on both forums is impartial, and everyone is free to recommend (or not, whatever the case may be) their own IP.

I'm sorry PJHughes and Captain Sensible feel the way they do, but it seems as though they are in the minority. I seem to remember negative posts from Captain Sensible in the past so his post doesn't really surprise me.

I agree Skippy.

What the forum doesn't need, particularly for new posters and people looking in, are negative threads like this which may put people off seeking impartial help from us.

I would like to think PJHughes would come back on this thread.

My husband cannot respond to this subject as he is ill; however, I can respond. This Forum has been our "God-send" particularly from Kallis 3 and Skippy; noone touted for business and for the record he tried, I think 8 companies, who told him he would never get an IVA. Those companies did not offer one jot of advice or help; he found Melanie Giles who offered FREE advice and when asked if she would help him her reply was "yes" - he asked her to help - NOT the other way around. Mrs Giles has been a tremendous help to us - not soley due to IVA matters but others on ad off the Forum. We shall continue to suggest Mrs Giles to those who have similar problems to those of my family and for the record Mrs Giles does not pay us a fee. The whole idea that IPs pay people to suggest them is nonsense. WEe are new friends on this Forum and we do not want to see negative posts - if people do not like the posts on here then let me go elsewhere but do not attempt to discredit this magnificent Forum and the experts, professional and lay, who devote a great deal of their time helping people without charge, fera or favour.J

J - I'm sorry to hear that Max is ill. Nothing serious I hope. Give him my love and good wishes for a speedy recovery. Hope you are ok as well.

An excellent post too!

That's a brilliant post Jan, and you've summed up the spirit of the forum much better than I ever could.

I'm sorry Max is ill, say hi to him for me and I hope he gets well soon xxx

Unfortunately there'll always be someone who wants to spoil things for everyone else.

Hi
I think we will lock this before it is hijacked by the usual suspects.
