There is a certain irony that the creditors want IP's to do a thorough job, get the most cash for them they they can and reward IP's by reducing the fees. Funny how they can always find money to harass people. They should be ashamed.

Maybe they won't be so arrogant when they are nationalised! I felt terrible when I first defaulted, now I have reflected on how I got into an IVA position in the first place......

I've had an email from IP.......he didn't chair the meeting, it was one of his colleagues, so we have to wait for her reply. He did say the info we were sent doesn't remotely represent our proposal.

I just wonder why the IP gets any fees when its an incompetent colleague thats dealing with it [}:)]

I'll keep you updated.

The mystery around the contents of the report will continue, as the IP has confirmed it had nothing to do with our proposal, furthermore he doesn't know where the contents have come from???? A bit embarrassing for them [:I] Our correct report will be with us shortly....apparently.

After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, it has been agreed the IVA has officially failed and the notice we need to go BR will be sent out ASAP.

Why everything has to be so difficult with this company I don't know. I will blog in detail later and hopefully others will learn from our experience....at least I know the IP reads my blog.

Thanks as ever for the support xx

It's an utter disgrace Julie. I think you have received appalling treatment.

It will be interesting to see what the proper report says (if it every gets to you!)

So sorry it has failed though, you've done your best - I hope the creditors are proud of themselves now they're going to get next to nothing.

Serves them right!

Time to draw a line under this now and move on. You have made your decision, and the creditors have made theirs. Wish your hubby the best of luck with his bankruptcy application, and I assume that you will be going along with him for moral support.

Thanks Melanie - yes you're right, time to draw a line under the experience. The notification we need is on its way and hubby contacting the courts.

As ever I will be there to support him.....not sure he'd go otherwise [:I]
