I got advised kingsgate were terminated my IVA early November I have written to my creditors direct as there were only 2 payments left to see if I can settle them, to be told it's still not cancelled, contact kg who have told me the termination process is apparently lengthy?! 2 months though? how long should I be expecting to wait?

Hi, have you received a termination certificate?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Why was it terminated with only two payments left? Surely it can be saved?

Hi Lisa - this seems a bit odd if you were so close to the finishing line. If it fails all best are off and you will owe your creditors the full balance plus potential interest on top. Best to speak to your IP asap to try and sort the breach instead and see if you can rescue the IVA.

You will also be at risk of debt collection proceedings like bailiffs and potentially being made Bankrupt depending on the figures.
