Hi,

I am considering the IVA option (not that it's a choice really) but I am unclear how this will effect my ability to work. I am a contractor (through an umbrella company) in Financial Services (i.e. regulated by the FSA). Do I (when do I) declare my IVA status to the agent that placed me and / or the organisation I am contracted to? Will this mean I cant work for them any longer or do I need any form of dispensation? All help gratefully received! Thanks

Hi, you will need to check your contract(s) of employment and the FSA regulations. A dmp may be an option if you can't be insolvent. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Speaking to one of our experts will also help throw some light on your situation x

Hi and welcome.

As BOL says, you need to check your contract - try making an anonymous call to HR as well to see what they say about it.

As well as the experts who post on here you can visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews. Give one or two a ring and the advice will be free and impartial.
