Hi
That borders on it !!!
I recommend answering all calls and simply stating that you ae taking professional advice and are going to propose an IVA,give them your Ips details and thats it.
Once your IVA is approved the calls will stop
Regards
these are extremely stressful times but you need to understand that they are legally allowed to call you and the Harrasment laws are sometimes a little weak.
Suggestions that have been used by different people.
1. use caller ID
2. turn ringer to silent when children go to bed
3. if you do answer the phone they can only speak to you if they can confirm that you are YOU,
Therefore if you refuse to confirm your ID and say that you are out OR you refuse to confirm the security questions ( mothers maiden name etc ) because you don't want to give personal info to a complete unannounced stranger, they can't speak to you.
4. Confirm you are applying for an IVA
I am not recommending any of these but they often work for different people.

Goldfish keep ringing my work telephone number and saying to my colleagues that i need to speak to them urgently. my colleagues are getting very frustrated for a start, but are starting to get suspicious that something is amiss.
can i stop them ringing work as it is actually starting to cause me problems? i have spoken to them and informed them of my situation and directed them to my IP, but to no avail.
Help, it is starting to affect my work relationships.
If they are calling work then I would recommend speaking to the supervisor and confirming that your job is at risk and that this is bordering on harrassment.
Have you asked the IP to make a call on your behalf? that may also help.

You can ask them to remove your work number, I used this while waiting for my IVA to be approved. If they said they wouldn't I advised them that I had contacted the Police with regard to harrassment and they had advised me to request that the work number be removed from their system this usually worked.
Others have given them an old mobile number and informed them that they had changed their number and can they delete previous number from their records. Also they are not allowed to call after 8.00pm and before 8.00am I guess that's why they hung up!
Hope this helps

I think you'll find it's 9 o'clock at night Rainbow. All of my creditors, when they were phoning, used to call me up to 9pm.
