I have lots of single and married people in IVAs living perfectly well under CCCS guidelines, and others who say they are struggling but want to carry on as the IVA is so important to them.

We never recommend which route a client should take - merely ensure that all options are covered and fully explained. At the end of the day it is up to the individual what to do and there is an element of choice right up to the creditors meeting.

It is interesting to see the differeing opinions. I guess I have made some adjustments to our shopping..there are far more value and smart price items in the basket now, but I am happy with the amounts we have for shopping and laundry (again with two under two the washing machine is on a LOT!)
