Hi All we have completed our IVA with McCambridge Duffy and everything seems ok on our credit files and we are off the insolvency register. We are trying to get a loan for a car just for 6000 but cannot seem to get one. I do not have a bank account so not sure if that's the issue but my wages get paid into my wife's account. Our mortgage is with NRAM so not sure if that's an issue as it is sometimes called the bad bank. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

If the loan is in your name, the lack of a bank account could be an issue. Also check all three records for any notices of correction which might mention the IVA and check that you are on the electoral register.

Do not make loads of random applications, as each leaves a stain on the file and raise red flags.

I doubt there is anything connected with NRAM, unless they have left anything on your files, which you could see if they had.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Hi

I think not having a bank account would be the issue here

Could your wife take out the loan for a car? I am presuming she has a bank account?

If it is the lack of a bank account that is causing you an issue you might want to open one up.

Co-op are pretty good with accounts.

As Foggy says - make sure you are on the electoral roll as it can cause problems if you're not.
