Hi Carl
Thanks for all the info on the Horse really appreciated.
Spoke to cccs IVA today(they contacted me) according to them the Horse only has 21% of a vote Moorcroft 79% so they seem optimistic but obviously will take all into account when I have full and proper talk with them on Thursday.
Will let you all know what happens.
Will not commit to anything till I've consulted this forum first though. However a little apprehensive of cccs as reading on forum they are linked to the actual creditors so do they offer a balanced view or not. They said they don't charge upfront fee or charge if IVA fails but they do take a fee from your monthly payment. Like I said will not commit till absolutely sure as there are some very good IP's on the forum Mel G in particular gets great feedback.
As always all advice greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Stickman

Great Stuff.

Fingers crossed and you are right 'shop around' as you are in no way committed to the CCCS and you need to find an IP that you feel comfortable with and work for your best interests.

Any questions all you need to do is ask

Carl

Thanks Carl,
Have you heard any adverse info regarding cccs or are "independant" IP's a better route.

I cant really say that i have heard anything adverse at all.

If you visit www.IVA.com you can read independent reviews on the majority of IVA providers.

Do you have to attend creditors meeting when setting up IVA,thinking of distances one might have to travel and cost of doing so

Thanks

Hi Stickman,

You are always invited to the office for a Meeting of creditors however due to geographical location this is not always possible and you IP understands this.

So long as you are available on the day by phone / email to discuss any modifications this is acceptable.

I was also going to ask if you have to attend the creditors meeting - I am getting really stressed about the thought of an IVA. I am already off sick at the mo with my crones and just getting worse with all the stress.

Hi Elizabeth

Generally speaking no (unless your IP has told you that you should) but you need to be available to discuss any proposed modifications.

I didn't need to attend my meeting, and I was advised of this a few weeks beforehand.

Cold anyone suggest a Bank that just gives you the basics DD/SO no o/d facility and definitely not ELECTRON as the debit card.

Thanks

Hi
Many people imagine a creditors meeting is a room full of suits representing each of your debts. The reality is that this almost never happens.Voting is done by post and fax.
Mind you your IP will charge the creditors for the cost of a room on the day of your meeting !!
