thanks everyone, apparently I should get connection points as I have lived here for more than the required 3 yrs (38 nearly to be precise)
girl i spoke to was really nice but she was unhappy about what the woman told me when i attended, I also think emailing the councillor has worked as well though
now i cant wait for thursday to come :)

Good luck LD. I was wondering about you, hope it all goes your way tomorrow, sounds like the letter sent on your behalf is getting some reaction from them.

welll been to housing office, i must say the lady i spoke to was lovely, very understanding etc etc
anyway im now classed as being in need of priority housing, i get points for living in the vilage already, the fact i need support from my mum for collecting little one from school etc
also that my son is in his last year at school and as for the situation i dont think she could believe i was still living there, but as i said to her im not going no where and he cant make me unless he gets a court order for my removal, which may i add the judge would probably laugh at as im the one there to see to the kids etc soooooooo may i add im happy as larry today 2 things are getting sorted now my debt and now a house life is not totally a B***H!!!!
she said once a house is available she will ring me so i must be up the top of the list now [:D]

can you tell im excited ????????
if it wasnt for you lot on here i dont know where id be now
so thanks so much everyone for making me see sense and sorting it out

Great news LD ... just goes to show what a bit of perseverance can do. I hope you won't be waiting to long cos I'm already looking forward to the house warming party ... I'll even bring a bottle of Tizer[:D]

Thats great news Tracy and about time eh? Hope you get your new home soon - have you looked around the area to see if there are any empty properties?
I did this when I needed a council property, found an empty house and I badgered the council until I was allocated it. That was about 10 yrs ago, so don't know if things have changed, but it might move things along for you. Anythings worth a try eh?

Julie xx
