Hi Lucy
Not quite sure what you mean, but if you mean do you pay your council tax when in an iva then yes it is allowed in your expenditure.

Hi Lucy

Yes you need to pay your post-IVA council tax in the usual manner.

Hi There
I work in council Tax and agree.
The other thing is - wasn't your Council Tax included in monthly expenditure?
If you fail to pay your Council Tax the local council will apply for a liability order against you, this will increase the amount you owe and also they will probably want more a month than you have put in your proposal, thus stretching the already tight busget you have.
If you do not pay they can send the bailiffs, issue attachment of earnings orders or eventually apply for committal to prison or insolvency (providing you owe more than £750)
Hope this helps
Zoe
