I understand an IVA has to be dealt with at a County Court.
I know I am legally entitled to insist on a hearing at my nearest CC, but what if I would rather not have it heard at the local one? I know too many people there and would prefer to travel a few miles out to another one. Does anyone know whether this is possible?
I've never heard of anyone having to go to court at all with an IVA but you better wait for Melanie to advice you on the ins and outs of how it is dealt with. X
I imagine it has to be held at your nearest court. You will not be there at all and it is only to rubber stamp your agreement once the creditors meeting has been held.
The details are not published in the paper, and the only place it can be seen is on the Insolvency Register.
