Hi, brussel sprouts roasted with red currant jelly are yum [:)]

We've managed to grow tomatoes and green peppers this year...never grown anything before so dead chuffed, we got a couple of packets of seeds, put them in grow bags, crossed our fingers and *tada*...homegrown veg. Not that my youngest girl is too pleased, she hates peppers x

I love peppers and like chillies as well as long as they are not too hot.

Have to say that sprouts and jam sound awful![:D]

I would rather starve than eat a sprout! Dave's mum likes them but I refuse to have them cooked in the house so she has to go without at Christmas!

I don't eat any veg but I don't mind cooking it for others and actively encouraged all mine to eat their veg which they do. My peculiarites never rubbed off on them and for that I'm more than grateful. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We always have ours boiled but don't overcook them so they are still firm.

The dogs are the only ones in our house who would eat them - then again they eat anything![:D]

BUMP!!!

Just a reminder people if you want to maximise your courgette growing then plant your seeds now in trays inside on the window sill. As they grow move to pots and allow them to grow inside until the frosts have gone (usually March) and then plant outside.

After the disaster that was Sprouts anc Carrots last year I am using all my space to grow Courgettes. This will probably mean about 10 plants so I am gonna be giving loads of courgettes away at peak growing time lol.

I am also gonna grow about half a dozen chillie plants for my curries methinks.

Helen I guarentee you could grow these. They require so little care, just feed and water. Even then if you neglect them you still get a decent crop!
