Credit Card Adverts

Apologies if this is in the wrong place!

I got very, very mad last night [:(!][:(!]. I was watching TV (think it was ITV4 at the time) and there were [:0]FOUR[:0] consecutive adverts about credit cards (Barclaycard, Capital One, and I can't remember the other two) - it should be regulated in my opinion, they are encouraging people to get into financial difficulties.

After that, I went in to the kitchen, took my credit cards out of my wallet (I haven't used them for months) and took great pleasure in slicing them into millions of little pieces!!! [:D][:D]

I will NEVER have another credit card again.

Capital One adverts annoy me no end. I know at least 14 people with a Capital One card who have all told me they currently have a rate of at least 23.5% - Who gets the rates they advertise on TV?

I can tell you what is no longer in my wallet!

The one that annoys me is the one with the stupid act followed by the "intelligent" act. The stupid one being falling out of a window and the "intelligent" one being getting the credit card. Can't remember the supplier. Grrrrrr[:D]

I really, really, really hate the Capital One adverts - 'What have you got in your wallet?' My own money thank you very much!

£35 charge for going seven pence overdrawn about 3 years ago, and they would not refund the charge under any circumstance. That was the first and only time I was overdrawn - needless to say they haven't got my business anymore!!

I used to bank with Halifax many years ago. I remember getting to the page in my chequebook (this was in the days when cheques were still welcome everywhere!) and I called them to ask for a new one. They told me one had already been sent out and give it a couple of weeks. I did this, but in the meantime I used all the cheques so I rang them back again, only to be told that no chequebook had been sent out, and they would do it then, but it would take 21 working days! I asked them what I was supposed to do in the meantime (I had no internet banking at the time for bill payments) and they basically said tough, I'd have to manage! Needless to say I was in there the next day closing the account!

Think Debitcard and not Credit card....Credit should only be for mortages,car purchase,washing machine etc and not to supplement general income - the source and reason for 80% of CC debt build up.

I've got a VE card,a real 19 digit Masetro card from a Bank(not prepaid), A CashmasterMastercard(Prepaid), two Solo cards and a NW cashcard. Now have I missed anything form the list?

Don't need no xxxxxx creditcard or charge card with ridculous APRS and the PPI they always add on. Yuck!!

i accidently went overdrawn by 95p on my Halifax Easy Cash account (the first time since opening the account) for about 4 days and braced myself to be charged about £40 or something but instead got a letter advising me i had gone overdrawn but was not being charged as the overdrawn amount was less than £10.

was quite relieved about this but going to make sure it doesnt happen again in case they change their minds the next time!
