Hi there,

I've been in an IVA for 3 years and have suddenly started getting junk mail from credit card companies again??!

Does anyone know why this would be?

The last one got their form sent back with a short sharp reply [:(!] [:D]

I don't want a credit card ever again and enjoyed the peace and quiet of no credit letters for the first few years.

Just curious as to why they have suddenly started again??

Thanks
NG

Hi not sure why they still send out junk mail offering credit (obvisouly we are still on someones mail shot list to purchase our details) I have heard there is a phone number you can phone to stop junkmail for private addresses but not sure what it is does anyone else know (i will ask my work mate tommorow and let others know) but what i tend to do is if there is a pre-paid envelope enclosed i strike through the letter and put "no thanks" and send it back in the pre-paid envelope (this will cost THEM money).

Don't be surprised Neverguess - I'm bankrupt and I've lost count of the numbers of credit cards and loans I could have! The best one was when they offered me the chance to remortgage my home to clear my debts - my partner would have been well impressed as the flat is his! Basically we are just names on a list as Suzz says.

Hi Neverguess,

Check out the link below to MPS to de-register you from junk mail. It worked a treat for me - had nothing for 3 months!

Thanks for that, I've now registered - although I still don't understand why they want to contact me!!!

Excellent link. I signed up to that site a number of months ago and the amount of junk mail has now significantly reduced.
