Good afternoon all-hope someone will answer.
as its only just been under 6 days since my iva acceptance obviously i understand it will take a fair while for the info to filter through and at present all my current credit card statements still show all the nasty stuff i.e if you dont pay we will take legal action etc. when they get the info eventually will they continue to send me statements and if they do, am i to keep hold of them or forward them on to my ips office. sorry if it sounds silly i just want to do everything properly.
Once the info filters down the statements will stop.
Any you get I would just forward on to your IP.

Could take a few months - don't worry just burn them!

I am 12 months into my IVA and I have just received a letter and statement from one of my Credit Card companies demanding payment. Should I just forward this to my IP
This is something the companies are supposed to be doing once a year now, telling you how much you owe, and I think a lot of them have been demanding payment.
I'd just shred it.

Hi
Jan is right, some providers are sending statements out once a year, not a problem, but some are also demanding payment even if the debt is in an IVA.This is an error on their part and one that I believe they are addressing

Rather than burning the correpsondence, we encourage our clients to continue to send it to us as sometimes it can provide vital clues when we are in the process of agreeing claims.
Once you are in an IVA any statements that a debtor receives is meaningless especially the ones that demand payment. Yes either send them to your IP or ignore and burn them. Your IP is now in control of the debt and will agree the amount of same as at the date of your crediors meeting. Thereafter nothing to worry about
