I would call it more of a rip off than an "informal voluntary arrangement" whatever that is supposed to be! Exercise caution, as I feel that you could end up very disappointed with the end result.

Informal Voluntary Arrangement instead of Individual Voluntary Arrangement?? CCS instead of CCCS?? Sounds very suspicious. Surely this is illegal?

This sounds well dodgy to me.

I'm so incensed I'm going to phone them up, get some "advice" and an information pack and send it off to the OFT. I'm fed up with the poor service we receive...and it's our own selves who make us vulnerable targets because we keep our IVAs secret. I'm not blaming anyone BTW...I'm in the closet too about mine.

I don't agree there. Makes no difference whether you are open about your IVA or not, it's a matter of public record whether we like it or not.

David Mond from Cleardebt has been successful in the past dealing with these companies.

However, they spring up again under a different name shortly afterwards.

Pay Plan are a proper IVA companyand some of the posters on here use them so hopefully someone will be along to give you a first hand review. Discuss CCS with Pay Plan and one or two other firms (I use Vardan Nuttall) as they will be able to sort this out. Do not pay anything on Friday, you can cancel the appointment even.

Payplan are fine, I am with them.

I do recommend that you visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and speak to a couple of them.

I would not be touching CCS with a barge pole.

I have just looked at the website and I think the advice offered on there is shocking!

You can say no to anyone at anytime prior to an IVA being set up.

Cancel your meeting on Friday and speak to a different company as already advised.

I would personally advise you to at least speak to 2 or 3 other companies and make an informed decision by Tuesday of what you want to do, thereby giving yourself enough time to cancel your meeting for Friday if you feel you want to. At the end of the day it's your choice of whom to act for you and we can only advise you not tell you what to do but we do have your best interest at heart. The forum has members in all types of debt solutions and each one is suited to them.

Have a think today and talk to a couple or 3 companies tomorrow (that is what I would do). x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
