Hi,
I completed my IVA in March and received my certificate of completion not long after.
I have been keeping a eye on my credit files with Experian since March and all my debits have changed to satisfied, some have even disappeared from my credit file since March, with one exception.
Lloyd's bank that i had 3 accounts with are still showing as default, should i be sending a copy of my certificate to Lloyd's with a letter explaining that i have now finished my IVA and to mark the accounts satisfied. My Ip manager did say they would do this and all my accounts but Lloyd's are now showing satisfied.
Also my certificate of completion is dated 30th March, my IVA was over 5 years but i had 6 month added due to problems with payments so im right in thinking 30th August will be 6 years after starting my IVA so this should also disappear from my credit file ?
Thanks in advance for any help

Hi,
the default/satisfied part doesnt really matter much to be honest as long as the default date is correctly marked as the IVA commencement date. It will drop off anyway whether is default or satisfied.
The IVA will drop off 6 years from the commencement date, so the fact you paid another 6 months doesn't make a difference.
Congrats on getting to the end

Thanks animaleyes76,
So my IVA start date was 11/08/2006 (god it seems a long time ago now) so i should expect my IVA to drop off any time now.
I did notice the commencement date with Lloyd's is slightly longer than when i started my IVA but it's only a matter of a couple of months over, i can cope with that.
Things are looking bright now, just opened a savings account with Yorkshire building society and for the first time in about 15 years i will have some money to save.
Struggling a bit finding a appropriate bank account, turned down by the CO-OP but i'm looking at my options, with Think Banking just now who will do until i find a alternative.

haha 3 days before mine
Mine was removed about 2 weeks ago so you might find yours has already gone. It was only on my Equifax record in any case.
Yeah, i have a few like you that are Sep/Oct but it's no big deal hey, not after 6 years
As for the bank thing i'd wait a month or two if you can to let everything fall off, then you have a better chance

I'd be inclined to wait a few weeks post 6 years just see how it sits then, if the other default notice is only slightly later just let it drop off in the natural scheme of things.
My 6 years is up begining Sep 12, but I won't bother looking till end of Septembr
well done to all, it's a long ol stretch. I did same with YBS!
