Hi I hope someone can help with this , I received an alert from equifax to say that my credit file had been update , i had iva from may 2005 to may 2011 and have completed and have certificate of completion so i though things would start to drop off.
There are 2 new entries on my file , the first one is under the notice of corrections section and reads as follows :-
EQUIFAX CONFIRMS INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTARY ARRANGEMENT COURT NUMBER XXXXXXXXXX DATED 11/04/05 IS NO LONGER REGISTERED ON THE INSOLVENCY SERVICE RECORDS EFFECTIVE FROM 20/06/11.EQUIFAX CAN NOT CONFIRM IF COMPLETED OR FAILED. ADDED BY R.G ON 23/06/11 ON BEHALF OF EQUIFAX.
The second update is as follows and is listed in the court information section :-
Name: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Date of Birth: XXXXXXXXX
Court Details: XXXXXXXX / XXXXXXXX
Type: Voluntary Arrangement
Court Date: 11/04/2005 Amount: £0
Date Satisfied: 20/06/2011
My query is that i thought as it was satisfied and over 6 years old there would be no more records of it showing or have i misunderstood ??
Skippy,
thanks for the reply , im just concerned that the notice of correction has just been added and reads we cant confirm if iva has been completed or not ?? Also with regards to equifax updating it once a month , they have just added the correction , it wasnt there before ??
thanks
I had exactly the same notice on my Equifax file, it was shown as a notice of correction posted by me!! I contacted them and disputed the entry on the grounds that A) I never requested this information be added to my file and B) fail to see why it is relevant to post this notice of correction when the IVA is shown correctly on my file in the court section.
Equifax removed the entry.
Hope this helps
Regards

I had exactly the same thing put on mine, but asked that they remove it as I did not request it. It took them a while - they are a lot slower than Experian or Call Credit in my opinion to act, but they did eventually remove it.
Trouble with these notice of corrections is that they can hang around long after the 6 years is up and the court record drops off your file.
Send a copy of your certificate and ask they erase the court record too, as it has been on there longer than 6 years.
