credit management say i cant have money in a/c

i had a bank account with natwest which i havnt used for over a year and presumed it was closed . but recently iv claimed bank charges back from them and they have made a offer and say they will put into my account
but i have a iva which includes a bank loan with this bank can they take this money off me according to them they can! i rang the branch direct and they sadi as i have no card or cheque book i could go in with my passport and withdraw the money but when i ring support team they put me through to credit management and they say i cant have it??

i think the charges will count as a windfall and should be paid into your iva anyho.

I think you will find the bank will keep the money and take it off your debt with them as said before if you do get it it will be seen as a windfall and paid to the iva anyway.
