Hi guys Ive been rejected for a loan and I cant see why.
All ive had is 2 3 missed payments when I was younger in 2006 and 2008. Everything else is perfect Electoral role, searches ect yet Im getting a credit rating of 295 which is very low even though In October When I checked my credit report It had 400+. Its seems like my credit rating has halved for no apparent reason.

Hi and welcome

Are you in IVA or Debt management programme?

Sorry, but I don't think we can help you with this. I can only suggest that you contact the credit reference agencies for a copy of your report to see if anything untoward is recorded and ask them to alter it.

Hi,

I agree with Jan, you need to get a copy of your report. There's normally a fee of £2 ( I think) for the report.

boomstyliemikey.

Dont get to hung up on scores - get some copies of your credit report and check to see what on there . There me be items mention on the report that you nothing about (fradulent). Also if you made application for credit, these are likely to be recorded

Your score is made up of a number of factors, not just your credit history. Different companies will score you differently, the criteria is a highly guarded secret but can change. Not even the bank staff know, but I bet they can guess given the number of applications they put though.

Missed payments on your credit file, will affect your credit score. But obviously not as bad as a Default, IVA, CCJ, BR etc. would.

Hope that helps

Hi. Have you been making "blanket applications" ? Too many searches in a short space of time can reflect badly on your score.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Agree with the others. Get copies of your credit files and see what's on them before applying again. Remember that lenders are becoming more stringent and anything minor on file can lead to rejection!
