Hi,

Can someone shed some light on this for me.

I got a copy of my credit file to check what the status is on the accounts after my BR in March,

3 accounts do not appear (Northern Rock x 2 and one other)
2 are at satisfied status
6 saying that i have defualted each month even after the BR petition etc,

Do i need to contact the creditors to ask them to close the account or the credit agencies, if this continues there is no way i can that they would clear of my credit file in 6 years time.

I dont want to obtain credit in the future but may need to for a car etc later on in life.

Appriciate any advise

Thanks

Hi coco
I have been into experien and equifax, some of my debts don't show on one but the other, for example hfc are on experian but not registered on equifax, same with john lewis but the other way round.
Iwould contact them and ask them to update there files.

Hi Coco
That's an interesting situation,it could be years before your credit is good again if they keep defaulting.
I suggest a copy of your bankruptcy notice to the creditors concerned and to the two main credit reference agencies asking them to update the records.
Hopefully Storm can give his opinion on this

I was told that any defaults after the BR date will be removed when you sort out your credit files after BR.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
